Sail Portsmouth Volunteer Page

On behalf of Sail Portsmouth, our community and our maritime history, thank you for your interest in volunteering!

Our events rely on our volunteers. We have no paid staff. Volunteering for the Sail Portsmouth event or Sea Challenge is fun, educational and makes a real difference in our community.

Volunteers at the tall ship event work to ensure the event runs smoothly and our thousands of visitors are safe and having a good time. Volunteers may help visitors on the docks and gangways, sell beverages and merchandise, purchase tickets, and assist with parking. Volunteers are flexible and prepared to take care of whatever else pops up – something always does!

2024 Volunteer Training

Our Volunteer Training will occur on Sunday, July 14, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.

And … the exciting news is that The Music Hall is hosting our Volunteer Training in the beautiful The Music Hall Lounge, at 131 Congress Street in Downtown Portsmouth.

There will be a cash bar, and parking is available in the either one of the two municipal garages.
